Primary care has been greatly affected by COVID-19. Telehealth and emerging outpatient settings need difficult judgments. Even in changing practice settings, primary care providers must focus on preventive care, cardiovascular risk factors, daily clinical issues, chronic diseases, women’s health, geriatrics, behavioral health, and using diagnostic tests and new medications effectively. Quality, safety, justice, and efficiency are our everyday goals as we address health inequities and care for vulnerable patients. To provide the greatest treatment for difficult patients, we must collaborate with other experts, inpatient colleagues, and health professionals. UCSF CME Primary Care Medicine 2022 covers modern outpatient medicine advances, primary care controversies, and COVID-19 patient care. Office operations skills and techniques will be emphasized in the course. Complex preventive medicine situations, outpatient care difficulties, and a variety of acute and chronic disorders will be examined in the curriculum. Audience response systems encourage sophisticated clinical case discussions. The University of California, San Francisco Office of Continuing Medical Education supports this course provided by the Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine.
